Townskate Christmas Update

It’s been 2 months since we’ve opened and we couldn’t be more grateful for all of the community support. Shout out to Powell River Living, Nice Plumbing and Gas, Powell River Recreation Complex and everybody who has stepped foot in our shop, we thank you all. 

If you’re looking for something to do on Sunday afternoon, feel free to join us for Skate Sundays at the skatepark. 1pm every Sunday as long as weather permits, we skate. Everyone welcome!

On December 2nd, Townskate took part in the annual Christmas Santa Parade. Not sure if we’ll be invited back next year but we had a blast skitching (when you grab on to the back of a moving car while standing on your board and taking it for a free ride) and weaving through parade participants. A special thanks to Ted Hartley for coming out and promoting skateboard safety and educating us with his extensive board collection, which included a Kevin Harris original and a signed Rodney Mullen Powell Peralta.
